Welcome to the Historic Modsports and Saloon Association

Sick to death at not being allowed to race your historic Modsports and Saloons.

This association is formed to cater for all historic Modsports, Special Saloons, Thundersaloons, Silouettes, Historic Hotrods upto 1982.

You will be eligible using any tyre choice, including modern slicks, semi and full space frames.

All engine types historic and modern are eligible as are gearboxes.

we aim to gather together as members the largest variety of these period highly modified race cars in the world. Whether you are a racer or enthusiastic follower of these fabulous race cars joining this association will enable you to enjoy social gatherings, future HMSA race events, club stands at many motor shows and pageants.

The HMSA intends to organise race events around the UK with the help of other major clubs HMSA competitors will be offered races, sprints & hillclimbs at Brands hatch, Silverstone, Donnington, Oulton Park, Snetterton, Anglesey, Thruxton, Goodwood and Castle Combe.

Cars such as the Modsports Lotus Elans, Turners, Elvas, Jaguar, Aston Martins, MG, AC Cobras, TR and TVR fighting door to door with the mighty BMW CSLs, Fords, Skoda and Vauxhalls such as the Bertha Series of Gerry Marshall. What a fabulous spectacle to watch these awesome historic race cars do battle once again in grids of over 30.

Many of these cars are gathering dust hidden away because many clubs consider them to be too modified to race against the Goodwood parade racers.

The HMSA will promote all it’s members and race cars by being active at many national and regional events, several historic and motorsport magazines intend to feature many HMSA Competitors.
